Returns Policy
ArtLexis produces high-quality fine art prints on demand in our studio using the finest papers and printers available. Because we only produce prints when they are ordered, we are unable to offer full refunds for orders which are cancelled after we have made the print or prints. Below is a detailed explanation of our policy in various circumstances:
It is ArtLexis's policy not to process the billing of any credit card order we receive until the order has been printed, in order to guarantee our ability to fulfill any order we have been paid for. If an ArtLexis customer cancels an order - for any reason - prior to its printing we simply stop production on the order and do not bill the credit card.
Once we have actually made the print we bill the credit card and send the job to our shipping department to prepare it for UPS delivery. If an ArtLexis customer cancels an order which we have already printed prior to it being packed for shipping, we stop the shipping process and add the cancelled order to a "dead prints" pile. We will then issue a refund to the customer's credit card for an amount equal to 50% of the print price and taxes charged for the item, plus 100% of the shipping charge. The 50% of the print price and taxes we do not refund helps to cover our printing and production costs for producing the print when it was ordered.
If an ArtLexis customer cancels an order which we have already printed after it has been packed for shipping, we stop the shipping process and add the cancelled order to a "packed dead prints" pile. We will then issue a refund to the customer's credit card for an amount equal to 50% of the print price and taxes charged for the item, and 50% of the shipping charge. The 50% of the shipping price we do not refund in such cases is to cover the cost of packaging the order.
If an ArtLexis customer cancels an order after it has been shipped, our policy is to offer a 50% refund of the print price and taxes charged for the item providing that it is returned to us in its original package in its original new condition.
About Our Prints
Our prints are created using a large-format, high-resolution inkjet Giclee printer. We use a wide-gamut pigmented ink set which produces highly archival prints with a projected lifespan of over 135 years under gallery display conditions.
The sizes listed refer to the size of the trimmed print, including borders. Different images will have different "aspect ratios" (the proportion of width to height). Therefore, printed image dimensions will vary. We will print the image as large as possible within minimum borders (each minimum border is approximately 3% of the width of the paper).
Digital prints may vary somewhat in color, depending on the output device used.
As with all art prints, proper framing behind glass is recommended for display, and exposure to sunlight should be avoided.
Prices do not include framing, mounting, stretching or shipping.
Certain sizes and media may require up to one week to print.
Shipping
ArtLexis ships all of its prints using guaranteed, trackable UPS or USPS delivery.
Prints are shipped rolled in heavy duty cardboard tubes or boxes.
If you order more than one print shipped to the same address, ArtLexis will pack them together and you will only be billed for a single shipping charge.

Please Note:
Customs duties and other import taxes on prints shipped outside of the United States are the responsibility of the customer.
ArtLexis's shipping fees do not include import taxes or other importing fees.
If your ArtLexis print arrives damaged, please return it to us (with a copy of your receipt and the UPS form you signed) in its original packaging, using UPS or another trackable shipping method. We will refund the return shipping cost up to the value of your original shipping charge, and make a new print for you as quickly as possible.
Authentication
All ArtLexis prints are proofed by the artist and ship with a signed certificate of authenticity. Each edition is strictly limited to 100 copies for each size offered.
